It is reviewed each year and we do have to fight to keep funding as its claimed that as Mum gets worse, she needs less care for her aggressive behaviour therefore it becomes less of a medical issue - catch 22??

Previous to her moving home, we had all sorts of fun and games with Social services in Walsall funding a monthly amount and we also received a medical care allowance, which we were told later we shouldn't have been getting so they tried to claim it back.

My experience is it is a bit of a mine field and almost worth getting legal/professional advice on as one thing is for sure - the government will try and get away with funding as little as they possibly can!
