Most people contacting the advice service are family members and carers and many of those say that they wished they had heard about this service before. Telephone on 0845 262 1863 or email them at advice@independentage.org

Thanks coolerking45 and ChrisMinnett for sharing your thoughts and ideas on where to find helpful content and info... I was wondering if anyone had used a counselling service or a third party to get the conversation going?

Does anyone have any experiences good or bad they can share with the rest of us?

There is a lack of information about caring for elderly people and more brochures on this subject would be useful

That is one of the reasons Engage has launched EngageWithYou and brought a number of partners together. So you're in the right place!

To get the ball rolling... a couple of useful links to resources and information sheets are:

and for a list of over 60 various charities and organisations whose websites may have the information and help you seek is at our Action for Ageing website (who I work for)  http://www.actionforageing.com/resources-2/resources/

If you look at the various sites above and feel they are not providing the info you are after, please leave a further comment here and we can see if we can source something more specific for you :)
